If you're wandering through the charming streets of Nakazakicho, make sure to stop by The Gut's Coffee, a cozy cafe that brings a touch of artisan flair to your coffee experience. Nestled at 3 Chome-2-29 Nakazaki in Kita Ward, Osaka, this quaint spot seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Upon entering, you're greeted by the stylish dark exterior and a stunning marble counter adorned with the cafe's name in golden letters. The ambiance is enhanced by its unique decor, featuring a step bicycle and assorted bicycle gear, creating an environment that feels both trendy and homey. You'll find seating both upstairs—breathtaking yet steep—and down below, offering the perfect nook for coffee lovers.

The Gut's Coffee specializes in an impressive array of brews, showcasing the richness of Single O's premium coffee beans. Whether you're in the mood for a hot or iced hand-drip coffee (JPY 550), you'll appreciate the expertly crafted flavors that vary with the bean selection rotating frequently. The standout crowd-pleaser, their Latte (JPY 570), is a harmonious blend of aromatic espresso and velvety steamed milk that melts in your mouth, making it the top choice among patrons.

For a refreshing twist, try the Iced Latte, which holds the same deliciousness but served chilled (JPY 570). Or for those who appreciate a more straightforward coffee experience, the Americano (JPY 540) offers an invigorating taste with a crisp aftertaste, perfect for kick-starting your day. As one satisfied customer, Oliver Wood, aptly commented, the cafe serves “tasty specialty coffee,” making it an essential stop for any caffeine enthusiast.

But it's not just the coffee that’s delightful; the warm and friendly baristas are dedicated to crafting your perfect brew, taking their time to ensure every cup meets the highest standard. Melliott, another happy customer, praised their early morning service, a rarity in the area, ensuring a great start to your day with a perfect cup even before 11 AM.

Whether you're grabbing your morning fix or seeking a cozy spot to relax, The Gut's Coffee promises not just a beverage but an entire experience, from the first sip to the welcoming service. Whether you’re local or just passing through Osaka, don’t miss out on this gem of a cafe that has rapidly become a beloved favorite among coffee lovers.

So, if you find yourself in Nakazakicho, make your way to The Gut's Coffee to indulge in a cup of expertly brewed coffee, and, as Joe Barrs recommends, embrace this “dope spot” to enjoy not just the drink but the overall vibe—perfect for a quick breather or an extended chat with friends!

Very good coffee and opens early. Good barista early morning coffee (before 11 am ish) is a bit hard to find around Nakazakicho so this was our go to place each morning while we stayed in this area. Bit pricey. But good. Apparently uses Australian coffee so for us familiar!

Lovely little coffee shop. Tasty speciality coffee. Few doughnuts on offer too with seating upstairs and in the back downstairs too.

A great little cafe in Nakazakicho area with super friendly staff. ‘The Gut’s Coffee’ is instantly recognizable from the outside with it’s stylish dark exterior and marble counter with ‘The Gut’s Coffee’ in golden capital letters on it. With the counter on the left, the sitting area on the right consists of small benches and some decoration that includes a step bicycle and some bicycle gear. In the back you can also find some of their own brand gear (tshirts and caps) for sale. Their menu consists of a variety of coffees including: espressos, lattes, drip coffees as well as other drinks like tea, lemonade and other juices. In addition they also sell some sweets that are displayed in the glass bowls on the counter.

Delicious speciality coffee. The barista was friendly and took his time making a perfect brew. They had a sitting area upstairs, it’s very very steep so wouldn’t recommend taking anyone with mobility issues up there.

Dope spot. Excellent coffee. Merch looks amazing too. If you’re keen for a good coffee, venture here.

Tasty coffee with soy milk available. The barista gave decent service. The shop doubles as a workshop/studio which gives it a cool work-in-progress aesthetic. They have a cozy upstairs area to drink your coffee (must climb a very narrow set of stairs) but unfortunately they don’t have wifi available to the public.

Lovely little coffee shop. Great service. Slight industrial feel to the place, lots of concrete and wood. Coffee was great but the best thing... playing for free on a 1970s space invaders machine. Brilliant! Worth going back just for that.
